Frequently asked questions

Everything about tracking, sounds, growth, Nori and bebelala+ — answered plainly, for parents running on very little sleep.

Getting started

bebelala is a cozy baby-care companion for new parents. It brings one-tap logging for feeds, pumping, diapers, sleep, medicine and activity together with lullabies, narrated bedtime stories, ambient sounds, growth charts, weather-aware dressing tips and Nori, a gentle AI helper. It runs in your browser and installs to your home screen like a normal app.

Yes. Tracking, the dashboard, growth charts, milestones, dressing tips and a selection of lullabies, stories and ambient sounds are free to use. bebelala+ is an optional paid upgrade that adds cloud sync, family sharing and a few extras.

No. You can start logging right away and everything is stored on your device. An account is only needed if you want your data synced across devices or shared with a partner.

Open bebelala.app in Safari, tap the Share icon, then choose Add to Home Screen. iOS only allows installing from Safari — if you opened the link inside Instagram, TikTok or another browser, tap Install on iOS and bebelala will walk you through opening it in Safari first.

Open bebelala.app in Chrome and tap Install (or Add to home screen from the browser menu). It installs straight from the browser — no app store, no download queue.

Yes. The app launches and the dashboard, log pages and downloaded audio keep working without a connection, using data stored on your device. Pages that genuinely need the internet — like the AI chat, weather and account settings — stay reachable but show a friendly offline notice until you're back online.

Yes. The whole app is available in English and French, including the narrated bedtime stories, and you can switch language at any time from Settings.

Tracking your day

Breastfeeding, bottles and pumping, diaper changes, sleep and naps, medicine, tummy time, activities, shopping essentials, growth measurements and first-time milestones — each from a single screen with one-tap buttons.

Yes. Timers keep counting while you use other parts of the app or close it, and a small pill in the header shows the running session. You can pause and resume a session with the round pause button next to the stop button — handy when a feed gets interrupted.

Yes. Every log page has a + button that opens a past-event picker where you choose the exact time. For sleep and other sessions you can switch between setting a start and end time or a duration — filling in one fills in the other.

Tap the pencil icon on any entry to change its time, type or comment. To delete, swipe the entry from right to left to reveal the red delete icon, then swipe fully — or use the delete button inside the edit popup.

Yes. Each log page shows today's totals and time since the last entry, grouped day by day. The dashboard adds a list view and a scrollable graph view where you can tap a bar to see that day's entries for the metric you picked.

It's a friendly summary of how your baby's day is going, with pills showing the time since the last feed and the last diaper change. You can personalize the name and details it uses by tapping the edit icon.

The app uses the 24-hour format everywhere, and dates follow the language you selected.

Lullabies, stories and sounds

Gently looped lullabies, narrated bedtime stories in English and French, and ambient sounds such as white noise, rain, ocean and heartbeat — all grouped under the Soothe section of the home screen.

A selection is free for everyone: the first lullabies and bedtime stories, plus white noise and ocean in the ambient library. The rest of the library unlocks with bebelala+.

Yes. The player keeps going while you move around the app, so soothing never stops just because you tapped a button.

Yes. Tracks can be downloaded to your device so they play without a connection, and you can remove all downloaded audio at once from Settings if you need the space.

Growth, milestones and dressing

Yes. Log weight and height and bebelala plots them on gentle curves so you can see the trend between checkups, with the full history listed underneath.

The Firsts page lets you capture moments that only happen once — first smile, first tooth, first steps — with a date and a short memory, and there's a milestone list to celebrate along the way.

bebelala reads the local weather for your location and suggests how many layers to put on your baby, with a clothing chart you can check before heading out.

Yes. bebelala+ includes a printable PDF export of your logs, which is handy to bring to a pediatrician appointment.

Nori, the AI helper

Nori is bebelala's gentle cloud companion. You can chat in plain language about routines, feeds and sleep, at any hour of the night, and get warm, practical answers instead of a lecture.

Yes. Nori can take your recent entries into account so its answers fit your actual rhythm rather than generic advice.

You get 3 free messages to try Nori. Unlimited chat is part of bebelala+.

No. Nori is a friendly helper, not a healthcare professional, and bebelala is not a medical device. For anything concerning about your baby's health, always contact your doctor, pediatrician or local emergency services.

Yes. You can change Nori's look and colors, and bebelala+ adds extra outfits and a star theme.

bebelala+

Yes. You can request account deletion from the Account page; you'll receive a confirmation email, and confirming removes your account and the data attached to it.

No. There are no ads in bebelala — the optional bebelala+ subscription is what supports the project.
